Experience the passion of Argentine tango in all its dimensions—dance, lyrics, and music—in a prerecorded program screened at La Cosecha on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.

Tango Mercurio dancers Ramu Pyreddy, Simone Pinheiro, Flora Le, and Francisco Reyes demonstrate the social tango that people have been dancing in Buenos Aires and around the world for over 100 years; tango historian S. Alexandra Russell delves into the lyrics and stories of four of the most beloved tangos; and musician-composer Emmanuel Trifilio performs his own contemporary arrangements on bandoneon and guitar.

An in-person Q&A with the artists caps off the program.
