A Night w/ Lisandro Adrover - Solo Bandoneon Concert & Interview; Followed by Q&A w/ Oliver Kolker & Lisandro Adrover

Please join Tango Mercurio for an evening with Lisandro Adrover, a legendary Argentine bandoneonist, composer, arranger and conductor, in a solo performance, "Bandoneon Soliloquy." The prerecorded video, produced by Oliver Kolker and Meredith Klein (from the Philadelphia Argentine Tango School) during the pandemic, includes an interview with Oliver and will be followed by a live online Q&A with Oliver and Lisandro on Zoom.

The concert is free and open to all, but donations to Tango Mercurio, a nonprofit arts education organization, are welcome.

About Lisandro Adrover
Maestro Adrover made his professional debut in Argentina at age 14. He joined the José Basso orchestra and toured Japan and the U.S. He has shared the stage with such tango greats as Roberto Goyeneche, Leopoldo Federico, Susana Rinaldi, and Osvaldo Piro, and was a member and arranger of the Osvaldo Pugliese orchestra. In 1985, he joined the cast of the show Tango Argentino, which toured worldwide and is widely credited with prompting an international revival of tango dancing. Adrover composed and arranged the music for Forever Tango, Tanguera, Tango Mirando al Sur, and Tango Emoción. He has also had a successful career composing and arranging for film, including Evita (1996), The Impostors (1998), and Fermín (2014). His many album releases include: Tango, Esencia y Después (2001), Tanguero (2002), Buenos Aires 2004 (2004), Lisandro Adrover Meets the Metropole (2005), Otra Vuelta (2006), Tango Academy (2014) and Glories of Tango (2014).
