TANGO STORYTELLING SHOW
February 13, 2020
Busboys and Poets Brookland
If you’ve ever danced tango, you must have a story to tell. And if you haven’t you’ll want to hear the stories about this sultry genre that’s been heating up dance floors around the world for over a century.
Join two alumnae from Story District and local nonprofit Tango Mercurio for a Tango Storytelling Show on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at Busboys and Poets in Brookland.
The show will feature six storytellers and their curated stories about tango—some heartbreaking, others hilarious, but all true and very personal—plus live music by Emmanuel Trifilio and a dance performance.
Get your tickets ($15) now for a pre-Valentine’s night of true, personal, passionate stories about the gift tango brings. Busboys and Poets, located at 625 Monroe Street, NE near the Brookland Metro, will have food and drinks for sale.
Have a story to tell? We are looking for six storytellers for the show. If you are interested in pitching a story, read this and pitch here.
Submission deadline: December 23, 2019.
