Tango Mercurio to Launch Adapted Tango for Parkinson’s, Seeks DC Rehab Partner
Tango Mercurio, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts-education organization established in the District of Columbia, is planning to launch a program for people with Parkinson’s disease modeled after the Tango Therapy Project in Philadelphia. We have received grant funding from the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities to support the program in D.C.
We are thrilled to announce that Tango Mercurio has received a generous $63,308 General Operating Support grant from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities! This grant empowers us to advance our mission of fostering cultural understanding and unity through Argentine Tango and to broaden participation in this beautiful art form across the District of Columbia.

Tango Mercurio Awarded Two New Grants
We're proud to announce we've been awarded a $15,000 grant from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities in support of our programs through next September.
And we're getting a $25,000 grant over five years to help develop our fundraising capacity from the Mihir Desai Foundation, a Virginia-based philanthropic organization. The two grants will help us expand our offerings under all our programs--classes, events and outreach.
We are very proud to announce the newest addition to the Tango Mercurio team. Please join us in welcoming Amanda Garley as our new Artistic Director!
